Quotes from Carers
Lovely afternoon – Productive. More Please. We had a great afternoon. Thank you to all concerned again.
Today I attended an activity with my client John Straw with Headway Rotherham, paint a pot. This was brilliant especially for John and all people who suffer with head injuries. It was both relaxing and creative and a lovely way to socialise. Just want to say how brilliant Headway Rotherham really are. They organise a wide variety of activities for all interests. It’s just so good and essential for rehabilitation.

Since attending Headway he has come on leaps and bounds. He is getting more sociable and more outgoing.
Thank you to everybody for your kindness and support.
Headway was put in our path just when we needed help most. Unfortunately due to my brother’s aphasia, counselling was unsuitable, but other things were suggested which lead to further help.
Joining Headway was the best thing to happen to us. We felt part of something, without been made to feel strange. People had same or similar problems. Support, friendship and trust are just a few things we feel. This is a group which we CAN NOT do without.
As a carer of a person with brain injury I felt I was alone but since attending Headway, not only am I able to cope better but my son is showing some small signs of improvement. I can’t thank the Team at Swinton enough for all the help they have given me. The support and the extra miles these people go to is fantastic. Thank you.
What a wonderful service you supply. When my brother had his brain injury forty years ago there was no-one to turn to or ask questions or help. The DWP told us about yourselves and my brother has benefited from Headway. Susan, my brother’s co-worker has been brilliant , what a lovely kind hardworking person. Thank you very much.
I feel I have a much better understanding of brain injury since joining Headway. It’s nice to talk to people who understand the problems you have and you aren’t made to feel ‘strange’. It’s nice to see the group move forward and hopefully gaining more young members but will help the group to continue. I always feel like there’s someone there to talk to and help which is a massive plus.
I would recommend Headway to anyone as if it was not for this service I would not know who to turn to for help and support.
We would like to thank you for your help and support you gave us.
